In 2006, TransCanada Turbines (TCT) first received the award of the Certificate of Recognition from the Partnership between Alberta Human Resources and Employment and the Workers Compensation Board.  This award recognises that TransCanada Turbines' Safety Management System meets the standards required by the Partnership and has successfully passed an independent audit.  In 2009, TCT received an independent audit by the Partnership, and upon successful completion of the external audit was awarded a three year continuation of the Certificate of Recognition for a second consecutive time.
